Meteora Tour (12-13 Hours)

On the top of the rocks a complex of Orthodox Monasteries where founded mainly on the early 14th century. Six Monasteries are still active and open to the Visitors: Great Meteoron, Varlaam, Saint Nicholas Anapausa, Rousanou, Holy Trinity and Saint Stephen. This tour is not only for religious travelers but also for nature lovers and those who want to experience the slow way of living , far away from Athens.

The day will start with us picking you up from your hotel or from your desired pick-spot and we will start our drive which will be around 4 Hours. On the way of course we will make some stops for rest, specifically at Thermopylae the famous place where the great battle with Leonidas and the Spartans. There you will be able to spend some time in the museum and explore for a while the majesty of the battle. After that we will arrive at Meteora and we will start our tour of the monasteries. We will visit 2 of the monasteries accompanied by your licensed tour guide and you will be able to explore all the details of how the monasteries were made purely by the monks.

After our tour we will head to the most beautiful spots in Meteora for you to capture your moments from the steep rocks of Meteora. Lunch will follow at a nice restaurant and then we will start our return back to Athens with arrival time being at night time.
